Teacher Training Fundraising Weekend!

Please join the Forever Yoga community for a FUNdraising weekend offered by our very first class of Teacher Trainees! These amazing women have been working very hard over the last 8 months and are now ready to offer their first public classes. These heartfelt offerings are in support of The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, a choice made by the trainees themselves and near and dear to them. 100% of the funds raised during this event will be donated to the cause. Should you be unable to attend and would still like to make a donation, it will be gratefully accepted.
Light refreshments will be served throughout the weekend.
You are welcome to join us for as many classes as you can!
Schedule of Classes and Descriptions
1:30-2:30pm Moving into Stillness with Susan Westaway
In this all levels class, we will move through traditional yoga poses that will focus on opening the hips, and relieving tension in the body. This conscious movement will ultimately prepare the body to sit comfortably in stillness for a brief meditation practice, before the final reward of shavasana.
3:00-4:00pm Yoga for Better Breathing with Tracy Jakusik
In this all levels class, we will explore yoga movements intended to help support the health of the lungs by freeing the rib cage, softening the belly and expanding the chest. Whether you have known breathing issues like asthma or COPD, or just want to support your lung health, learn skills in this practice to help ease constriction in your chest and lungs so that you can breathe better.
4:30-5:30pm Cultivating an Open Heart with Leslie Dowst
Gratitude, Abundance, Joy, Compassion – these are all seeds we are given. With an open heart these seeds are free to grow. Please join this All Levels Class where we will begin to open the body, the mind, and the heart. After all, this is a planting time of year and what better place to begin than with a heart opening practice.
1:00-2:00pm The Conscious Breath with Sheila Rogers
Often in our practice our breath is moved to the background as we focus attention on the pose. In this class we will work to bring our breath awareness to the foreground. Come experience and explore how conscious control and regulation of your breath can affect your body, mind and spirit in a very positive way.
2:30-3:30pm Relax to Energize with Anne Goldsmith
Feeling frazzled and run down after a busy week or weekend? In this gentle class you will explore where you may be holding tension in the body, and use breath work, movement and meditation to melt that tension away, making room for new energy to move forward into your week.
