It’s the affliction of our age. More and more of us are confined to desk jobs, working at computers for hours on end with little to no relief. Then we sit in the car, often for many hours a week, only to drive home and either spend more time in the car shuttling the kids around, or just end up sitting on the couch from sheer exhaustion. When we’re not at work or in the car, we’re hunched over a phone or tablet doing more work or scrolling through social media. If this sounds like you, this workshop can help you break the cycle!
Jessica will offer an exploration of yogic tools that will help you make your desk situation more healthy for your body, mind and spirit. You’ll discover how to apply the principles of yoga alignment you learn in your yoga classes to your workstation to create more ease and less strain. Then, we’ll delve into some simple movements and breathing practices you can incorporate into your work day to help relieve physical and mental stress without your boss breathing down your neck! Finally, we’ll talk about some philosophical and mental strategies that might help you find a healthier mental outlook when it comes to your daily work in this world.
