Restorative Yoga with Sheila

Embrace stillness, allow relaxation to enter your body and experience the benefits of Restorative Yoga. Release tension through gentle passive stretches. Transform your body, mind and spirit as you hold comfortable, calming poses with the support of bolsters, blankets and blocks. To further enhance the restorative process, we will explore soothing conscious breath. Come experience how conscious control and regulation of your breath can affect your body, mind and spirit in a very positive way.
We will finish with an extended Śavasana and Yoga Nidra, also known as Yogic Sleep, where you will experience the state of consciousness between waking and sleep. Your inner world will be explored as you follow gentle verbal instructions … And your body will become completely relaxed!
You will leave the workshop balanced, refreshed, and renewed! All levels are most welcome.
Sheila Rogers (Rukminī), RYT200 received her 200-hour yoga teacher training from Forever Yoga. She began her yoga journey in Power Yoga back in 2005 to enjoy its physical benefits and replace her 10 year practice of karate. She found that the emotional and spiritual benefits are huge as yoga postures and meditations have brought much comfort, peace and balance through career, physical and emotional challenges. Vinyasa Flow has since replaced her power yoga practice. Sheila recently retired from high tech and returned to her teacher beginnings as she was a high school math teacher and recreational ski instructor some years ago. Sheila loves to share what yoga offers as it enhances one’s personal abilities, peace of mind, and most of all life. She hopes that you take the beautiful space you make on your mat out to your family, community, and our world; remembering to always treat yourself and others with love and compassion.
