Have you been wanting to give yoga a try? Is one of your New Year's Resolutions to do something good for yourself? Then our Beginners Yoga Series is for you! Whether you're brand new to yoga or just want to get back to basics, this class will give you the basic foundation you need to begin or rededicate yourself to a yoga practice. At Forever Yoga we seek to create an environment where you will be seen and cared for so that you can feel free to explore this practice. You won't find 80 toothpick thin people in spandex packed into a room with one teacher who never knows your name here! Instead, you'll receive individual attention in a group environment that will support and encourage you on your way to enjoying all of the benefits of this practice.
As part of our exploration we'll answer questions like: What should I wear to class? Where does yoga come from? Is yoga a religion? What's the deal with chanting? Can yoga help me lose weight or combat stress? And so much more!
To participate in this class you should be able to be on your hands and knees on the floor for 5-10 minutes at a time and be able to move into a lunge position.
