Resolve to Evolve: A New Year's Day Yoga Celebration

Resolve to Evolve.png

Join Jessica for our annual New Year's Day celebration at Forever Yoga! There will be two distinct parts to the day. Join us for one or both!

Part One

All Levels Vinyasa Yoga Class

Regular Class Fee Applies

The holidays can be rough on the body, mind and spirit. If we can stay steady in the knowledge that the challenges we face, no matter how big or how small, are all there for our evolution, we can let go of what was and simply begin again. This class will focus on helping us do just that by setting intentions, propelling them forward and moving our bodies through a well-rounded practice that can help release stress and reset your mind and spirit for a great new beginning. We'll begin with a Ganesh mantra that will help relieve energetic blockages that may be standing in the way of our goals. Then we'll move into an extended flowing practice that will move the body through all the major muscle groups and categories of postures, create a sense of grounding and allow us to practice beginning again with a few challenges. We'll wind the class down with a few supported restorative postures and some pranayama practice before a deep relaxing shavasana.

Mini Ganesh Puja and Mantra Chanting Circle

3:00pm - 4:30pm-ish??

By Cash Donation - 50% of the proceeds to benefit Water Mission, a non-profit organization that is providing services of clean water in Puerto Rico

The New Year is an important time to make the way clear for new energy to come into our lives. Ganesh is known as the remover of obstacles and we will powerfully invoke that energy on this first day of the new year. Jessica will perform an abbreviated "mini puja" to Ganesh, making a series of offerings such as sandalwood paste, flowers, sacred thread and others to our beloved studio Ganesh murti, inviting the power of Ganesh into our presence. Attendees will be invited to participate as comfortable by chanting mantras and making offerings of flowers.

Then as a group, we'll come to together to remember our individual intentions for the new year as well as the good of all beings. We'll chant several Ganesh mantras together, 108 times each. While individuals will certainly have their own experience, the combined group energy will heighten the experience for all, propelling us forward towards our goals in the new year.

Prasad or blessed food will be shared at the conclusion of this portion of the day.

(Please note: Depending on the size of the group and the familiarity with the mantras this portion may conclude earlier or later than listed above. For the sake of the group energy, we ask that you arrive on time but if you need to leave before the conclusion of this portion you are welcome to do so.)

We appreciate your pre-registration for both parts of the day's events. Please sign up below or on our Schedule Page! Thank you!
